We still do not know a woman, nor a man, who rejoiced when they noticed the first wrinkles on their face. You already know that over time their number increases, the depth deepens and the youthful expression is erased from the face, but don’t worry, we know how to stop them!
You know that aging and wrinkles go hand in hand, but did you know that wrinkles can appear before their time? Unfortunately, it is true. And did you know that wrinkles do not necessarily come with age and that their appearance can be postponed and drastically reduced? This is good news! If you’re wondering how, we’ll explain in detail below!
Why do wrinkles occur?
Wrinkles occur as a result of skin aging, by reducing the production of collagen and elastin, which are responsible for wrinkle-free, firm tone and suppleness. They are responsible for the fact that every time we make any facial expression, smile, raise our eyebrows or frown, our skin returns to its original shape without any trace. Over time, with each movement of the skin, a fine line remains at first, which gradually deepens due to repeated mimicry and growth into a wrinkle. Just like if you folded a piece of cloth, a line would remain where it was broken – this is exactly what happens to our skin. The reason for this is the reduced quality of the skin. With aging, the skin becomes dry due to a decrease in hyaluronic acid, thin and with fewer collagen fibers and elastin, which are responsible for a youthful appearance.
In addition to natural aging, there are also factors that affect premature aging of the skin – exposure to UV rays without protection, hormonal changes, smoking, inadequate nutrition, etc.
How to prevent wrinkles?
This part of the text is especially intended for younger people who may not know that skin aging starts in their twenties. About 25 on average. the first wrinkles appear. If you are one of the lucky ones, the first signs of aging will begin to appear on your face around the age of 27 or later. That is why it is very important that by then you acquire an adequate skin care routine that includes appropriate home care products adapted to the needs of your skin. Don’t forget that the dermatologist ‘s recommendation is crucial, because he knows the anatomy of the face and all layers of the skin. After a dermatological examination and evaluation of your skin type and its condition, he determines the best combination of products adapted to your skin.
In addition to daily care, it is important to regularly go for cleaning and facial care treatments. A treatment that provides deep cleansing, exfoliation and hydration of the skin is Alma DermaClear. You can find out everything about him by clicking on the link.
The best facial treatments before the first wrinkles?
In medicine, the rule is that prevention is half of health, and since the skin is our largest organ, the same applies in this case. Before we move on to solutions for existing wrinkles on your face, we want to first highlight antiaging treatments that slow down the appearance of wrinkles. It should be borne in mind that these treatments are also recommended for people who already have wrinkles, because they affect the quality of the skin of the entire face.
CHEMICAL PEEL
Chemical peeling treatment is recommended as a prevention of aging, but also for other skin problems such as acne scars, dark spots or blackheads. Chemical peels remove the surface layer of the skin and thus stimulate its regeneration and collagen production. After the treatment, the skin is refreshed, younger-looking and radiant. Depending on the condition of your skin, the type of chemical peeling is chosen, which are divided according to depth into shallow, medium and deep. TCA chemical peeling can remove shallower wrinkles and fine lines.
You can find out everything about chemical peels (what the treatment looks like, what are the results and experiences) on the page Chemical peels.
BIOREVITALIZATION
Biorevitalization is a treatment in which skin boosters with hyaluronic acid, peptides and amino acids are injected into the skin. Hyaluronic acid is naturally found in our body and is primarily responsible for hydration and clear appearance of the skin. Peptides and amino acids are necessary for building collagen, a protein that maintains skin tone and density. With this treatment, deep hydration is achieved, tone and elasticity are restored, and the face regains its radiance. You can read everything about biorevitalization by clicking on the link.
PRP treatment
As a completely natural treatment, PRP treatment holds its place high on the list of most of our patients. PRP treatment regenerates the skin, improves its quality and makes the complexion even and radiant. For this treatment, blood plasma rich in platelets is used, which is injected into the skin with thin needles. The result is stimulation of growth factors, faster skin renewal, production of collagen fibers in the skin, which are responsible for a youthful appearance. Find out everything about PRP and its effects on the page PRP – treatment, results and experiences.
types of wrinkles
In order to adequately treat them, we need to know what types of wrinkles are on our face. Depending on the area of the face where they appear, they arise differently and are influenced by different factors. Therefore, the choice of treatment will be somewhat different for wrinkles on the forehead than for those around the lips.
The basic division of wrinkles is static and mimic. Static wrinkles are the ones we see when the face is completely relaxed and can be caused by factors such as gravity, loss of elasticity and collagen. Such are, for example, wrinkles in the corners of the lips, nasolabial wrinkles, wrinkles on the neck. While mimic or dynamic are those that are visible when we make facial expressions. These wrinkles are the result of repeated facial movements, which causes folds in the skin and most often appear around the lips, eyes, and forehead.
Botox or Hyaluronic for wrinkles?
This question is most often asked by patients who come to the office for the first time and want to get rid of wrinkles. Very often they require botox for parts of the face where it is not recommended or they want to use hyaluronic fillers to solve deep wrinkles on the forehead. This is exactly why we have divided wrinkles according to parts of the face with an explanation of which treatment is best for each of them and why. In simpler terms, Botox is responsible mainly for the upper third of the face, while hyaluronic fillers are most often used for the middle and lower. But below, we explain each part of the face in more detail, so that you can more easily find what you are most interested in.
Wrinkles on the forehead and between the eyebrows
Horizontal lines on the forehead and vertical lines, usually two or one between the eyebrows, can be both static and mimic wrinkles. As such, those belonging to both types are resolved using two treatments.
- Mimic wrinkles
Mimic, those that are visible when we raise our eyebrows like when we are surprised and when we frown are successfully solved with Botox. Wondering how? The principle is very simple and safe when it works doctor which is certified for injection methods. So, the famous botox works by injecting it in exactly specific places under the surface of the skin, in the muscles. This prevents excessive contraction of muscle movements that are responsible for the formation of wrinkles. By reducing the activity of these muscles, the skin tightens and wrinkles disappear.
- Static wrinkles
When they have already become static, which means they are seen in a state of complete rest, Botox is not enough. It will stop further deepening of wrinkles, but where they have already become deep, stopping muscle contraction alone is not enough. In that case, and please note that this applies to deep and very deep wrinkles, hyaluronic fillers are used. It is also an injectable method in which hyaluronic is injected under the skin. Since hyaluronic acid can bind water molecules up to 1000 times more than its weight, it does so and thus fills wrinkles.
Wrinkles around the eyes
The skin around the eyes is thinner and more sensitive than the rest of the skin on your face. This is precisely why it is more susceptible to aging and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This is why you have a face cream and a separate eye cream. Wrinkles around the eyes appear as a result of laughing, because we also smile with our eyes, which is why they are called smile lines. Here, we approach with special attention, so in addition to the aforementioned Botox and hyaluronic fillers, it is also very important to improve the quality of thin skin. So we can add:
- Skin tightening and rejuvenation treatments of the upper and lower eyelids with CO2 laser or Alma Harmony PRO lasers,
- biorevitalization to nourish the skin with necessary ingredients such as hyaluronic acid,
- PRP treatment that promotes circulation, regeneration and rejuvenation of the skin.
Wrinkles on the nose (bunny lines)
These wrinkles are very specific because most of them first solve the wrinkles on the forehead or around the lips, and often forget that the ones on the nose are a sign of age or an inexperienced doctor who did not take them into account. They are most noticeable when you smile because that’s when the sides of the nose wrinkle, so that it loses its shape. And the solution is botox treatment that simply blocks the excessive movement of these muscles and your nose looks like it did a few years ago!
How to remove nasolabial folds?
Nasolabial wrinkles are more pronounced in some people due to the natural anatomical structure of the face, so they appear before aging, while in others it becomes more noticeable with age. They extend from the corners of the nose to the lips. In the case of aging, their cause is the loss of subcutaneous tissue in the area of the cheekbones and cheeks. That is why the procedure with hyaluronic fillers, which first fills and shapes the cheekbones and cheeks, is ideal. If they are very deep, the nasolabial folds are filled directly with hyaluronic acid.
It is important to note that Botox is not used in this part of the face, because this is the facial part we use to chew, speak or smile. Learn more about the treatment and results of removing these wrinkles on the Nasolabial folds page.
Wrinkles around the lips
Wrinkles around the lips, most noticeable above the lips, are not only caused by smoking, but also by aging. They use Botox, which is carefully applied to precisely defined points. The muscle falls asleep, does not make contractions and thus these wrinkles become less visible. If they are expressed, they are successfully filled with hyaluronic fillers and disappear!
When is the best time for botox or hyaluronic fillers?
You can start using Botox immediately when the first shallow wrinkles appear. In this way, you will prevent them from deepening, because Botox calms excessive mimicry in the places where wrinkles will appear.
When it comes to hyaluronic fillers, they are used not only to fill wrinkles, but also to correct lips, dark circles , cheekbones, jaw, chin and other parts of the face. The support of hyaluronic fillers to the skin tone significantly affects the formation of wrinkles and delays their appearance. Both procedures are completely safe and secure, when proven and high-quality products are used.
