What is the Dye VL Pro laser?
Dye VL Pro is a modern laser procedure that is part of the Harmony XL Pro laser platform. The slogan “one solution for complete skin care” perfectly captures the essence of the Harmony XL Pro platform, which offers a comprehensive range of approximately 20 different lasers to address up to 65 aesthetic and dermatological conditions. Among these lasers, the Dye VL laser holds a significant position.
So, what is the Dye VL laser all about? It is a treatment commonly referred to as photorejuvenation. Its primary purpose is to target and address redness, skin discoloration, and various skin conditions such as rosacea, couperose, spider veins, red scars, and dilated capillaries. However, the capabilities of this laser extend beyond that. Its therapeutic effects stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, resulting in skin renewal. Following the treatment, the skin becomes more elastic and rejuvenated.
How does the Dye VL Pro laser work?
Photorejuvenation, also known as photofacial, is a procedure that utilizes laser light rays to rejuvenate the skin. The Dye VL Pro treatment is specifically based on Advanced Fluorescent Technology, which is a form of intense pulsed light (IPL) and is patented by Alma Lasers. This advanced laser technology offers superior results in a shorter timeframe, requiring fewer treatment sessions while ensuring the patient’s safety.
The Dye VL laser emits a precisely controlled wavelength ranging from 500 to 600 nm, which is optimal for addressing various skin concerns. This wavelength is absorbed by the skin’s pigment, effectively breaking it down and gradually reducing redness and skin discolorations.
By targeting accumulated melanin, the Dye VL laser effectively diminishes spots, redness, and pigmentation on the skin, resulting in a lighter and more even complexion. Furthermore, the laser’s light beam targets and eliminates tiny blood vessels by absorbing hemoglobin. As a result, dilated capillaries and visible redness on the skin disappear. The laser treatment also enhances the skin’s resistance and immunity, making it more resilient against external factors.

What does Dye VL PRO laser treatment look like?
The procedure itself is comfortable and pleasant for the patient. Firstly, we cleanse the skin, followed by the application of a cooling gel that provides a pleasant sensation on the skin. Then, we gently glide the laser probe over the skin, and the patient may experience a minimal stinging sensation during the emission of light pulses. The probe incorporates a built-in cooling system, minimizing the potential for discomfort. For patients with highly sensitive skin, we can further adjust the cooling system accordingly.
The laser beam converts into heat within the blood vessels, effectively breaking down pigment spots into tiny particles that are eliminated through the lymphatic system. Consequently, visible veins, capillaries, and redness gradually fade and disappear. Additionally, the laser helps reduce sebum production, thereby preventing inflammatory processes on the skin.
The duration of the treatment ranges from 10 to 30 minutes, depending on whether we are treating the face alone or including the neck and décolletage. After the procedure, you can immediately resume your daily activities without any recovery period.
Are there any side effects?
The Dye VL laser is completely safe and clinically approved. There is no peeling, flaking, or extended recovery period. Only individuals with highly sensitive skin may experience slight redness, which typically subsides within a few hours.
How should I care for my skin after?
Your doctor will provide you with clear guidelines and instructions on post-treatment skincare. The most crucial aspect is to use a daily face cream with a high level of sun protection to effectively hydrate the skin. In the weeks following the treatment, you will notice that the skin becomes more supple, redness is reduced, and visible capillaries become less prominent.
Is the Dye VL PRO laser safe?
Absolutely. All lasers and devices utilized in our practice are completely safe and clinically approved. We always recommend conducting thorough research before undergoing any aesthetic or dermatological procedure to ensure that you are in trusted hands.
Ideal timing for Dye VL Pro laser?
Dye VL Pro laser treatment is not suitable to be performed during the summer months when UV radiation is intense. Our treatments are available from autumn through winter until early spring when UV radiation is relatively lower.
How many treatments do I need?
The general recommendation is to undergo a series of 3 to 6 treatments, with intervals of three to four weeks between each session. The exact number of treatments and the specific treatment plan will vary based on the individual’s skin condition and the desired results. After completing the initial series of treatments, it is advisable to maintain the achieved results by receiving a Dye VL treatment every 6 months or once a year.
