Your face is unique. So are your lips. Any procedure on the lips cannot be a mechanical, copy-paste<\/em> procedure of imitating the shape of someone else’s lips, because that loses the most important thing – uniqueness!
\nIn this text, we will present our three works of lip correction with fillers<\/b> , in order to show you the results and transformations that can be achieved with hyaluronic fillers<\/a>. Whether it’s lip volume correction, Cupid’s bow definition or a little refreshment in the form of lip hydration, this treatment in our office is completely adapted to the physiognomy of your face because it brings out the most important thing – your uniqueness.
\nAlthough the filling, augmentation and correction of the lips<\/a> with fillers is one of the most common aesthetic interventions in the world, considering it simple to perform would mean neglecting a number of factors that lead to the desired result. These are the choice of injection technique and hyaluronic filler<\/a> of appropriate density and hardness according to the purpose, anatomical limitations of the lips, the skill and expertise of the doctor<\/a> , and the wishes of the patients for a specific change.
\nIn all of this, understanding the anatomy of the lips<\/b> is key in order to know which part of the lip should be treated with hyaluronic filler in order to get an attractive, more beautiful and rejuvenated appearance.<\/p>\n<\/div>

The shape of the lips is defined by vermilion<\/strong> ( No. 6<\/strong> in the picture) and its border<\/strong> ( No. 3<\/strong> in the picture), which represents the line of transition of the lips to the surrounding region. In its middle there is a depression in the shape of the letter V or U, known as Cupid’s bow<\/strong> ( No. 2<\/strong> in the picture), from the tips of which the philtrum<\/strong> extends towards the nose ( No. 1<\/strong> in the picture).<\/div>\n
A clearly defined cupid’s bow gives a seductive and attractive look to the lips, and according to aesthetic measures and proportions, the ideal length of the philtrum in women is 11-13 mm. The fleshy protrusions on the lips are called tubercles<\/strong> ( no. 4<\/strong> in the picture), while under no. 5<\/strong> marked corners of the lips<\/strong> that must be treated when rejuvenating the lips.<\/div>\n
Also, we should not forget that the ideal ratio of the height of the lower and upper lip is determined by the golden<\/em> ratio of 1:16, and that the upper lip must always be smaller than the lower one in order to maintain the ideal proportions.<\/div>\n

Case 1. Thinner upper lip compared to the lower<\/h2><\/h2><\/div>

One of the rare requests we encounter is the correction of the upper lip, which is thinner and without clear contours compared to the lower. In younger people, the appearance of a thin upper lip is conditioned by genetic inheritance, while with age, even in people who had full lips in their youth, their volume, shape and contour are lost.
\nIn the picture, we can see that the upper lip of our patient before augmentation with fillers had a clear shape, but it was without volume and seemed more droopy. With 1ml of hyaluronic filler, we corrected the volume and highlighted the contours of the lips, and with a special technique we shaped Cupid’s tip and “raised” the upper lip so that the philtrum, that is, the distance between the nose and the lips, is shorter.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Case 2. Goal: emphasize the beauty of full lips<\/h2><\/h2><\/div>

Our patient has full lips, prominent contours and a defined shape. With 1ml of hyaluronic filler, we highlighted their beauty and made them even more seductive, while taking care to maintain a natural look and respecting the golden rule of aesthetic medicine – less is always more<\/em> !<\/p>\n<\/div>

Case 3. Drooping corners of the lips that have lost their fullness<\/h2><\/h2><\/div>

As we age, our lips lose volume and shape. As a result, they become thinner, Cupid’s bow and philtrum are flatter, the corners of the lips slowly descend, while vertical wrinkles (so-called smoker’s<\/em> , barcode<\/em> wrinkles) appear above the upper border of the vermilion.
\nIn this case, 2ml of hyaluronic filler was needed to restore fullness to the lips, emphasize the Cupid’s bow and shape, and raise the inflamed corners.<\/p>\n<\/div>
