Restylane fillers consist of hyaluronic acid<\/a> in gel form. Hyaluron, i.e. hyaluronic acid, is naturally found in our body, which makes it safe for use and does not cause allergic reactions. One of the important roles of hyaluronan is to keep the skin and face tight, supple and hydrated by binding water molecules to itself. With aging, the amount of hyaluronan, as well as other important substances for the beauty and health of the skin – collagen<\/a> and elastin – decreases. The face slowly begins to “fall”, volume is lost, folds are formed on the lower jaw and cheeks, deeper and shallower wrinkles appear.
